On Motivation and the Art of Success
Motivation seems to present itself in the oddest of forms. Some are motivated by fear, others by competition. I’m motivated by the thought of being better today than I was yesterday.
It comes from knowing I can do a good job, even if I’m second-guessed or underestimated. It comes from having the opportunity to succeed, and then succeeding.
So here’s to the end of singing and dreaming and smiling and twinkling about what could and maybe will be. It’s time to double my efforts and put in the necessary work to get there.
- I will work in digital marketing or in an executive function at a start-up or boutique before winter is over.
- I will leave Texas and live in New York City or abroad before winter is over.
- I will be the person I’ve always wanted to be. Starting now.
There you have it, timestamped and everything. Life starts now.
